Victorian Walnut Wardrobe (1880s) $6,500

A Victorian single door wardrobe in walnut and burl walnut with a carved North Wind crown. This unique wardrobe has a beveled glass mirror and disassembles into seven pieces. It is American manufactured, circa 1880 — 1895, and was part of an antebellum plantation in Americus, Georgia. There are no known maker’s marks. Its dimensions are 102 inches tall, 48 inches wide and 36 inches deep. This is a stunning statement piece! Additional photos and information can be provided. The finish is original and in good condition. One side panel is cracked, most likely from seasonal wood movement. Two companion pieces are also available, a monumental bed with exquisite burl walnut and a washstand with a marble top and backsplash with a beveled glass mirror, all with matching crowns completing a bedroom suite.
